It’s a common question: can you bleach synthetic hair? The answer is yes, but with some caveats. Here we’ll discuss how to bleach synthetic hair, and the best ways to do it safely.

We’ll also talk about the difference between bleaching synthetic hair and bleaching human hair, and why it’s important to know the difference.

Here are some tips on how to bleach synthetic hair safely and effectively.

can you bleach synthetic hair

What is Synthetic Hair?

Synthetic hair is a type of hair that is made from man-made fibers. Synthetic hair can refer to a variety of materials that are used to create artificial hairpieces, wigs, and extensions.

These fibers are often made from plastic or other synthetic materials. Some synthetic materials include acrylic, polyester, and nylon. These materials can be made to look and feel like real human hair, but they are often not as durable or natural-looking as real hair.

Synthetic hair is usually less expensive than human hair, making it a popular choice for those looking for a budget-friendly option.

Can You Bleach a Synthetic Wig?

Yes, you can bleach a synthetic wig, but it is not recommended. Bleaching can damage the fibers of the wig and make it more susceptible to breakage.

One of the main reasons you shouldn’t bleach synthetic hair is because the fibers are not porous. This means that the bleach won’t be able to penetrate the hair shaft and will just sit on top of the hair.

Additionally, bleaching synthetic hair can cause the fibers to become brittle and break easily, because the bleaching agent would break down the plastic polymer chains in the fiber, causing it to frizz and lose its shape.Advertisements

Additionally, bleaching agents are often too harsh for synthetic hair and can damage it. But if you’re looking to lighten your synthetic hair and you really need this we’ll break down how to remove color from synthetic wig.

If you do decide to bleach your wig, be sure to follow the instructions carefully and use a gentle bleaching product. You will need to purchase a bleaching kit from a beauty supply store. Follow the instructions included in the kit.

Be sure to test a small section of hair first to see how it reacts to the bleaching process.

How to Bleach Synthetic Hair With Peroxide and Baking Soda?

If you want to achieve a lighter shade of synthetic hair, one method you can use is bleaching with peroxide and baking soda. This guide will show you how to do this safely and effectively.

To bleach synthetic hair with peroxide and baking soda, mix together equal parts peroxide and baking soda. in a bowl.

Stir the ingredients together until the baking soda is completely dissolved. Make sure the mixture is smooth and free of clumps.

Wet your hair thoroughly and apply the mixture to your hair, using a brush to ensure that it is evenly distributed. Gently apply the mixture to your hair, starting from the roots and working your way down to the tips.

Leave the mixture in your hair for 30 minutes, then rinse it out thoroughly. Shampoo and condition your hair as usual. You may need to repeat the process a few times to achieve the desired level of lightness.

AdvertisementsTips For Protecting Bleached Synthetic Hair From Damage

If you’ve bleached your synthetic hair, you know how damaging the process can be. Bleaching leaves it dry, brittle, and more susceptible to breakage.

Luckily, there are a few things you can do to protect your bleached synthetic hair from further damage.

Here are a few tips for protecting bleached synthetic hair:

Use a mild shampoo and conditioner

Bleach can be very harsh on synthetic hair, so it’s important to use a gentle shampoo and conditioner when cleansing your locks. Look for products that are specifically designed for bleached hair or damaged hair. Avoid shampoos that contain sulfates or other harsh chemicals, as these can further strip your hair of its natural oils.

Avoid heat styling tools

Heat styling tools can further damage your already damaged synthetic hair. If you must use heat, be sure to use a heat protectant spray and keep the temperature on low. It’s also best to air dry your hair whenever possible to avoid additional heat damage.Advertisements

Be gentle with your hair

When brushing or combing your bleached synthetic hair, be sure to do so gently to avoid causing any additional damage.

Start at the bottom of your hair and work your way up, using a wide-toothed comb or brush. Be especially careful when detangling wet hair, as this is when it is most susceptible to breakage.

By following these tips, you can help to protect your bleached synthetic hair from further damage.

Can you dye a synthetic wig?

If you’re looking to lighten up your look, consider dyeing your synthetic wig. While it may seem daunting, dying a wig is actually quite simple and the results can be stunning. Here’s what you need to know to get started.

First, select the right dye. You need to buy gentle bleach to prevent the wig from being damaged. Second, prepare your work area.

You’ll want to lay down some old towels or newspapers to protect surfaces from spills. Third, mix the dye according to the package directions.

Now comes the fun part! Dip your brush into the dye and start painting it onto the wig fibers. Work in small sections, and be sure to evenly distribute the color.

Once you’re satisfied with the coverage, let the wig sit for the amount of time specified by the dye manufacturer.

After the allotted time has passed, rinse the wig thoroughly under cool water. Gently squeeze out any excess water and then place the wig on a clean towel to air dry.Advertisements

And that’s it! You now have a beautifully dyed synthetic wig.

How to Lighten a Synthetic Wig – FAQ

Can you lighten synthetic hair with peroxide?

Synthetic hair wigs, like human hair wigs, can be modified to reflect your personality. To alter your appearance in a matter of seconds, synthetic hair wigs may be dyed.

Bleaching synthetic wigs with baking soda and hydrogen peroxide is common practice. Air drying synthetic wigs after bleaching and avoiding heat styling them right away might help preserve their shine for longer.

Can you bleach synthetic hair with clorox?

Clorox bleach is only for washing dishes, wiping down worktops, cleaning tiles, and other approved household uses. You should not use Clorox to bleach your hair in any case.

Clorox can be incredibly damaging to your hair, making it dry, brittle, and more susceptible to breakage. If you want to lighten your hair, use a bleach specifically designed for that purpose. You can find bleaches at most beauty supply stores.

Can you bleach the knots on a synthetic wig?

Yes, you can use bleach to lighten the knots on a synthetic wig. This will help make the wig look more natural. Be sure to use a gentle bleach and follow the instructions carefully.

After bleaching the knots, be sure to rinse the wig thoroughly and condition it to keep the hair from drying out.Advertisements

Summary

Bleaching synthetic hair can be damaging, so it is not recommended. However, if you are looking to lighten your synthetic hair, there are a few methods you can try.

One is to bleach it with peroxide and baking soda. Another is to dye it with a gentle bleach. Be sure to test a small section of hair first to see how it reacts to the bleaching process. And always follow the instructions carefully to avoid damaging your hair.

When we think of “The Pixie Cut” our minds immediately think of the hairstyle queens themselves: Ms. Halle Berry, Florence Pugh, and Zoe Kravitz — to name a few.

This short and edgy cut has been spotted throughout the years regardless of trends and changes in fashion, making it a truly iconic style. Even though short hair seems easy to maintain, it can be a mental challenge chopping off your locks. For most, the Pixie cut is uncharted territory, of shorter lengths and may seem a little too daring. But, for the ones who dare to reach the shorter, edgier side of hair; they have never felt more empowered.

Pixie cuts have been a thing for as long as we can remember, but who popularized the pixie cut? Why, Mrs. Audrey Hepburn herself. The Audrey Hepburn pixie cut was seen in the epic 1956 film War and Peace. She also graced numerous magazine covers with this iconic short hairstyle.

While other women in that time were resorting towards fuller, longer locks, Hepburn paved the way for nonconformity and timeless style. To follow with more famous on screen sightings of the Pixie cut; Halle Berry, Cynthia Nixon , Charlize Theron, and many more.

These women dared to risk the chop and feel empowered with such a bold look. Each with unique features to them, showing that it doesn’t take a specific look or face shape to own the hairstyle you desire. If you’re looking for a sign to chop your locks, here it is. Now that you’ve decided it’s time for the commitment, let’s help you get the most out of your new do’.

Do you have the right face shape for a pixie cut?

The short answer is YES. Anyone can rock this stylish haircut, because the truth is there is no wrong shape for any haircut. If you love the look and want to try it, then it’s the perfect style for you! There is also an assortment of different styles to choose from listed under the “Pixie Cut”. They can include layers, no layers, long bangs, no bangs etc. making it achievable for everyone. Finding the right Pixie cut can start with an easy option of sourcing inspiration (Pinterest is your friend).

Start with celeb inspo. Find celebs that you share similar features with. If you have dark, thick textured hair, finding a celeb with a similar texture can show you what the Pixie cut may translate to with your specific hair type. As well, finding celebs who have had a Pixie cut with a similar face shape to you is a good idea!

If you are wanting a quick alternative to understanding what Pixie Haircut is best for your face shape, we’ve compiled some options! Regardless of your features, taking on a Pixie cut enhances your facial features and let’s your natural beauty stand out.

Oval Face Shape: Ultra short pixie cut hairstyles (the most daring of them all) will suit oval face over any other! If you are lucky enough to have an oval face shape, most haircuts will be sure to suit you!

Heart Face Shape: To work with your face shape, most hairdressers suggest a classic pixie cut (i.e. Michelle Williams) because it focuses on creating length to your face and avoiding areas of excessive volume that can shorten your face.

Round Face Shape: You have the perfect face shape for a gorgeous ponytail. But when it comes to Pixie cuts, try adding longer layers and volume in your crown area. This will help slim out your roundness to give a little length and drama!

Square Face Shape: Wispy layers and bangs, mixed with a pixie cut is ‘oh so chic for you!’ Softer layers and a little length will soften any sharper, squared edges on your face. Try a side wispy bang and longer layers to your pixie for the ultimate look!

Diamond Face Shape: Choosing a pixie cut that is flatter on the top or one with shorter bangs is the perfect choice! You can choose to go epically short or a little length with a swept soft bang along your forehead!

How to style & maintain your pixie cut

With shorter hair comes more commitments? Yes. Although shorter hair should seem easier to maintain, this length can be a little more needy than you may have expected. Having a very specific length and style you can expect to see your hairdresser more often, usually every month depending on the growth cycle of your hair. Hair washing will also increase as your hair is closer to your root and chances are you’re going to be using products to style daily with a pixie cut.

This style is a great option if you find your hair has been severely damaged and needs a fresh start. Chopping off your split ends and allowing your hair to regrow can create an amazing rebirth of tougher locks! Just don’t forget to use moisturizing and scalp treatments when you can to really keep your hair at its healthiest. If your hair was healthy to start, giving your scalp and hair a little love is still important especially when it comes to styling.

Styling the Pixie cut is totally up to you. Whether you choose to spike it, curl it, swoop it, the options are endless. We love how Halle Berry and Zoe Kravitz have been seen rocking very different styles with their pixie cuts. Whichever style you choose, remember not to overuse the product as it can create a stiff look to your hair. Natural movement is always important, unless you’re going for a slicked down chic evening look!

Different pixie styles

Don’t be afraid of feeling limited with styling options, there are so many fun and edgy looks you can achieve with the pixie cut.

Sleek & Sexy: For when it’s time to hit the town or grab a drink with your girlfriends this style is the perfect go-to. Think Zoe Kravitz for inspo! Grab your fav pomade and slick away. Don’t forget to pair this look with the perfect smokey eye for added drama!

Fun & Flirty: One of the most popular pixie cut styles! Keep your hair light & airy with longer layers and a little volume! Our perfect celeb inspo are Anne Hathaway & Keira Knightley. You can use texturizing spray to get this look.

Edgy & Sophisticated: A true pixie cut staple is creating an edgy texture to your hair. Our favorite celeb inspirations are Scarlet Johansson and Katy Perry. Both have a different style of the Pixie cut but pull off the edgy look effortlessly! Try a mini faux hawk or spiky texture to your cut. Get the ultimate oomph by pairing your pixie cut with platinum dye.

Business Casual: Our Queen of pixie cut Halle Berry is the ultimate inspo for this look! Think soft layers, wispy with a little edge. The versatility of this style can be spiked upward or downward depending on your mood. Try using a texturizing spray, soft hold hairspray and a curling iron to add some waves and hold onto your hair!

The ‘Bixie’ Cut

Although the classic Pixie cut takes true commitment many are opting for the in between trending style the ‘Bixie’ cut. Just like how it sounds, the Bixie cut is part Bob length, part Pixie. And is open to interpretation of what you’re individually looking for out of your style.

This new trending style is slightly shorter than a true bob, landing right below the chin. Although it looks like it’s one solid layer there are ghost layers underneath to help thin your hair and create a choppy but blunt look. The  difference between the ‘Bixie’ and a very short bob is the weight of your hair. A true bob has a certain thickness and weight into it, whereas the ‘Bixie’ focuses on wispy, thinner ends that move with you.

If you’re having a hard time doing a full cut of your hair and committing to a Pixie cut, hair stylists recommend slowly cutting shorter each visit to the salon. The ‘Bixie’ cut or ‘Wolf cut’ is the perfect in between style for anyone considering going shorter.

Whichever hairstyle you choose to chop your locks into, the feeling of committing can be scary. Hair has a way of providing comfort to most and can sometimes feel like a security blanket to hide behind. Coco Chanel once said “A woman who cuts her hair is about to change her life.” and we couldn’t agree more! Let your face be the star of the show with a Pixie or ‘Bixie’ cut and own the fun and empowered woman you are with these major chops!

Up on that stage, the manicure sang its praise to several current nail trends as well. We’re talking red nail theory, the ombré French, hints of gold chrome, and diamond embellishments. Ishizu gave the red and midnight-purple colorway a glaring contrast by placing pieces of tiny gold foil directly atop a final coat of OPI’s GelColor Stay Shiny Top Coat. As for the base of the nails, Ishizu hand-drew a few blue dots and white dainty lines.

From the neck down, though, the People’s Champion honoree truly was a vision in blue. All the hues incorporated in her manicure translated into her Alexander McQueen gown. Tangy red embroidery hemmed the bodice and cobalt blue accentuated the train of the dress. Ishizu’s final touch of gold flakes complemented Lizzo’s gold jewelry and hair accessories laced within her stellar fauxhawk.

Anne Hathaway sure does give good fringe, doesn’t she? Whether full, to the side, wispy, or in curtain form, the girl has bangs down to a tee. After showing off a ’60s bouffant that paid homage to Jean Shrimpton last week, Hathaway made her full fringe a focal point at an event in Los Angeles earlier this week.

This article originally appeared on vogue.com

Anne Hathaway’s Full Fringe

As chic as they come, Hathaway’s fringe expertly toes the line between a wispy and full style and curtain bangs. The cut effortlessly frames her face and was styled with a gentle tousled wave through the ends, alongside an adequate amount of lived-in texture. Joining some of her other pitch-perfect fringes in the Hathaway hair gallery of fame—from a recent Andie-inspired (The Devil Wears Prada) choppy look to her side-swept French girl bangs from last year—the new look offers excellent inspiration for the season ahead.

Anne Hathaway’s Ponytail with Fringe

“Anne Hathaway is never afraid to go there with a look,” says Luke Hersheson, “she is the reason why I don’t subscribe to the idea that your face shape should dictate your haircut—she’s able to pull off a fairly graphic fringe.” Despite being graphic and a rather strong cut, Hersheson says the reason it works so well is because it’s turned into a “slanted curtain bang” at the sides, which gives it a certain sense of softness.

Thinking of getting a fringe chopped in? If you decide yes, work with your hairstylist on finding the right shape for you and your face shape—there is a style and shape for everyone. Meanwhile, it also pays to understand how to style it properly—a fringe is undoubtedly more high maintenance than layers. Seek out a round brush and lift the hair up and around while drying it from above and you should avoid any flatness and achieve optimal volume.

It’s a common question: does toner damage hair? The answer is not so simple. There are many factors to consider, such as the type of toner used and your hair type.

Toner can be damaging to hair if it’s used incorrectly, but it also has the potential to improve the condition of your hair if used correctly. So how do you know whether toner is right for you?

And more importantly, how do you use it without damaging your hair? Read on for answers to these questions and more.

What Is Hair Toner?

is toner damaging to hair

Hair toner is a product that can be used to add shine, definition, and depth to your hair. It is most commonly used on darker hair colors to give them a richer, more vibrant look.

Toners can also be used to correct the color of your hair if it has become brassy or dull over time. It can help to make hair look more natural, or it can be used to correct mistakes made while dyeing hair.

Hair toners are available in both temporary and permanent formulas. You can choose a hair toner based on your needs and desired results. Toner works by depositing pigment onto the hair shaft.

This can be done with a brush, sponge, or spray applicator. The color of the toner will show up on the outside of the hair shaft, while the inside remains its natural color.

Toners work by coating the hair with a thin film. This film helps to reflect light and give hair a more shiny appearance. Toners can also help to fill in any gaps or inconsistencies in the hair color, making it look more natural.

Permanent hair toners contain ammonia, which helps to open up the cuticle so that the color can penetrate deeper into the hair shaft. This type of toner can last for several weeks before it needs to be reapplied.Advertisements

Temporary hair toners do not contain ammonia, so they will not penetrate as deeply into the hair shaft. These types of toners will typically last for one or two shampoos before they need to be reapplied.

When used correctly, hair toner can be a great way to improve the look of your hair. Be sure to choose a toner that is right for your hair type and desired results.

But can toner damage your hair? Let’s find out!

Does Toning Your Hair Damage It?

So, is toner bad for your hair? The answer to this question is a bit complicated. There are a lot of factors that go into whether or not hair toning damages hair.

The type of hair colorant used, the strength of the toner, how often the toner is used, and the condition of the hair all play a role in whether or not toning causes damage.

While there are many benefits to toning your hair, there are also some potential risks involved. One of the biggest dangers of toning your hair is that it can damage the cuticle, which is the outermost layer of the hair shaft.

This can lead to dryness, breakage, and split ends. In addition, over-toning can cause your hair to become brittle and difficult to manage.

If you’re concerned about damaging your hair, be sure to talk to your stylist about the best way to tone your locks.

How Often Should You Tone Your Hair Without Damaging It?

It is important to note that everyone’s hair is different and will respond differently to various toning treatments. You will need to experiment to find what works best for you.

However, as a general rule, it is advisable to tone your hair no more than once a week if you’re using toning shampoos. If you’re using other strong toning products, you should follow the directions on the package, usually you can use it every 6-8 weeks.

Over-toning can seriously damage your hair, so it is important to be cautious. If you have particularly sensitive hair, you may even need to tone it less often than that.

Remember to use a conditioner after every toning treatment to help keep your hair healthy and strong.

AdvertisementsWhat Happens If You Leave Toner on Too Long?

If you leave toner on your hair for too long, it can cause dryness, brittleness, and even hair loss. It can begin to strip the hair of its natural color and nutrients.Advertisements

It’s important to be careful when using toner, and to always rinse it off completely after use. When used correctly, toner can give your hair a healthy, shiny appearance.

However, overuse can lead to serious damage. If you think you may have left toner on your hair for too long, contact your stylist or salon right away.

They will be able to assess the situation and provide you with the best course of action. So it is important to follow the directions on the package and only leave the toner on for the recommended amount of time.

How to Avoid Damage When Using a Toner?

When it comes to hair care, avoiding damage is key to keeping your locks healthy and strong.

And while toners can be a great way to enhance your hair color or correct unwanted hues, using one incorrectly can cause serious damage to your strands.

Here are a few tips to help you avoid toning disasters:

1. Choose The Right Toner

Not all toners are created equal. If you have color-treated hair, look for a toner that’s specifically designed for use on dyed strands. These products will be much gentler on your hair and won’t strip away vital moisture.

2. Avoid Over-Toning

It may be tempting to leave your toner on for longer than recommended in order to achieve a deeper color, but resist the urge! Doing so can dry out your hair and leave it feeling brittle and dull.

3. Follow Directions

When using any hair care product, it’s important to follow the directions carefully. This will help ensure that you get the best results while minimizing the risk of damage.Advertisements

4. Use a Conditioner Afterwards

After toning your hair, be sure to follow up with a good conditioner. This will help replenish any moisture that may have been lost during the toning process and keep your strands looking healthy and shiny.

By following these simple tips, you can help avoid damage when using a toner on your hair. Remember to always use a product that’s specifically designed for your hair type and to follow the directions carefully in order to achieve the best results.

And don’t forget to condition afterwards! Your hair will thank you for it.

FAQ

Can toner make your hair fall out?

There is no evidence that toner can make your hair fall out. However, if you use toner incorrectly or overload your hair with too much product, it can cause damage and breakage.

Be sure to follow the instructions on the product label and only use toner as directed. If you have any concerns about using toner, consult a professional stylist.

Is toner better for your hair than dye?

While toner and hair dye might seem similar since they both change the color of your locks, there are actually some key differences between the two. Toner is less intense and doesn’t last as long as hair dye does.Advertisements

If you want to try out a new shade without wrecking your strands, opt for toner instead of hair dye. Just be sure to use it correctly by following the product directions to avoid any unwanted consequences.

How often should you tone your hair?

Every 6-8 weeks. Toner is vital for keeping your hair looking freshly dyed and healthy, especially if you have bleach blonde hair. Try using a toner every 6-8 weeks.

If you notice your hair starts to look brassy or dull in between toning sessions, you can use a purple shampoo to help maintain your color. Just be sure not to overdo it, as purple shampoo can also dry out your hair if used too often.

Is purple shampoo a toner?

Purple shampoo is a cleansing toner that leaves your blonde and lightened hair looking healthy and vibrant. Its purple pigments remove brassiness while neutralizing unwanted tones, keeping your color fresh and brass-free.

Summary

Hair toners can be a great way to improve the look and feel of your hair. By choosing the right type of toner for your hair, you can achieve desired results while minimizing damage.

So, is toner damaging to hair? The answer is yes and no. It is important to use caution when over-toning your hair, as this can lead to serious damage.

Follow the instructions on the package carefully, and remember to use a conditioner after every treatment. Be sure to consult with your stylist about the best way to tone your hair and what products will work best for you.

With proper care, toning can be a safe and effective way to enhance your natural hair color. With these tips in mind, you can enjoy healthy and shiny locks with minimal effort!

If you’re on social media, it’s more than likely the characters of Euphoria have graced your Instagram feed.  If you’re not familiar with this hit show, here’s the rundown: there’s a group of angsty teens in suburbia dealing with their own personal demons (whether it’s a drug addiction or taboo sexual desires) while serving incredibly moody and colorful visuals that’s sure to keep you glued to the screen. Oh and how can we forget, there’s also iconic outfits, breathtaking makeup looks and hairstyles.

Euphoria clearly takes its inspiration from the 90s and the recent Y2K revival but with a modern twist that feels fresh and of the moment. If you’re looking to recreate the iconic Euphoria hairstyles, or simply looking for on-trend inspiration, these looks will help guide the way.

Maddy’s Euphoria Hair Looks

Bedazzled Hair

Maddy’s rhinestone makeup and hair look definitely sets her apart as the coolest girl at school. As one of the most recreated looks of the show, this is a bold choice for those who like to stand out from the crowd and dazzle.

How to get the look: Start by parting your hair into half inch sections across your forehead and clip to hold. Taking each section, twist your hair until it reaches the crown of your head and secure it with a hair tie. Using a hair cream or pomade may help with holding the hair in place.

Don’t forget to add that extra volume to accentuate the bedazzled twists. If your hair is on the thin side, you can add extra fullness with hair extensions. Find your perfect match here.

Bun with loose waves

While we’ve seen plenty of messy buns in recent years, Maddy’s take a retro glam spin to it.

How to get the look: Section your hair into three parts; front, middle and back. Tie the back section into place so it is out of the way. Taking the middle section, and brush it out so your hair lays flat before securing at the nape of your neck with a small clear elastic.

Next, take the back section and create a messy bun including the middle sections extra length. By separating the hair, you may find yourself lacking the volume needed to achieve this look.

Too much work? We recommend using a clip-in bun, made from human hair making it easy to style to your preference. Finish the look off by curling your front pieces with a 1-inch curling wand to achieve that loose wave. Optional is adding some turquoise eyeshadow, and ensuring your flip phone is fully charged.

Zig Zag New Years Eve

If you haven’t started season 2 yet, you’ve probably already seen this hairstyle all over your FYP on TikTok. Maddy’s sharp winged eyeliner is paired with waist length hair and held in place with a beloved favourite: a zig-zag hairband. If you don’t already have extra long hair, and you want to recreate this look, we recommend using either a halo hair extension® or classic clip-in extensions.

How to get the look: To achieve this look, style your hair straight and ensure your hair extensions follow suit. We recommend styling your extensions before installing them to avoid tugging and pulling on your natural hair. Add some volume to the crown of your head by teasing your root with a hair extensions brush followed by hairspray for hold. To complete the look, add a zig-zag hair band in a colour closest to your hair shade.

Cassie’s Euphoria Hair Looks

Beach Waves

@luxyhair Have you watched episode 3 yet? #luxyhair #hairtok #euphoria #cassiehoward #cassieeuphoria #sydneysweeney ♬ Formula – Labrinth

No spoilers ahead, however Cassie’s beach wave curls are starting to become her signature look. You can also try variations of this look by incorporating hair clips or baby braids.

How to get the look: Section your hair into 1 inch sections curling each piece in alternating directions. This helps add texture and movement to the final look. Run your fingers through the hair to create a tousled look, and set with hairspray. Next, take two pieces on either side of your middle part and braid, either securing with small clear elastic bands, or spray some hairspray into your hand and run your fingers over the braids to ensure hold.

Bubble Braid Ponytail

In the second season, Cassie’s hair changes by the day, and although she wasn’t quite satisfied with every style, we certainly loved seeing all of these looks.

How to get the look: To achieve this bubble braid ponytail, start by brushing your hair back into a ponytail, leaving some front face framing pieces out. If your natural ponytail doesn’t have the volume you’re looking for, we recommend installing a ponytail extension. Next, take small clear elastics and individually secure and “fluff” each section, or bubble rather, of the ponytail. Complete the look by using a curling wand to curl the front pieces.

Cassie’s Oklahoma Costume (Or so we thought)

Although her gingham dress convinced her friends she was auditioning for the school play, Cassie’s hair achieved levels of volume we usually only see in our dreams. If you’re wondering how a teenage girl did this at home, we’ll let you in on the secret…velcro rollers!

How to get the look: Start by sectioning the pieces at the crown of your head. Apply heat to each section, followed by a large roller, rolling inwards. Repeat this process with your bangs and leave to set until cool. Next, remove the rollers to reveal extreme volume, using hairspray to hold. Take the hair above your ear, opposite the side of your bangs, and secure in two sections with a bobby pin to your head. Follow with lightly curling the bottom of your hair. Finish the look by lightly curling your bangs, and setting in place with hairspray for hold.

Jules’ Ever Changing Hair Color

If you’re as in love with Jules as we are, you probably notice her ever changing hair. Whether it be length, colour or style, Jules is never afraid to match her hair to her outfit. However, as much as it would be nice to have a tutorial on how to grow your natural hair out overnight, we have the next best thing. Our peekaboo hair extensions make it easy to keep up with the trendsetting Jules. They are made of real human hair, so if colour coordination is your thing, and you’re wondering if you can colour your extensions, the answer is yes.

Kat’s Shoulder Length Bob

Another fan favourite, is of course, Kat. Her shoulder length bob could be seen as bold, or timeless… or both. Never a hair out of place, Kat’s hairstyle is consistent in her life of changes, as she discovers the world,  and herself.

How to get the look: To achieve a sleek look, use a sleeking oil after style, and ensure fly-aways are in place with hairspray or pomade.

Gia’s Colorful Hair Accessories

Often overlooked as Rue’s quiet and innocent younger sister, we can’t dismiss the fact that Gia’s hair looks deserve more attention. Gia usually wears her hair down or in a bun, taking time to accessorize with some cute barrettes or hair clips. Although most Euphoria characters seem to love a good hair accessory we love how Gia opts for colorful and funky options. Hair clips are not only practical but are an easy and quick way to add some everyday glamour to your overall look.

We also see her rocking a powerful curly ponytail as she starts to find her voice and stand up for herself more.

How to get the look: Use a strong hair tie like one of our Gravity Defying Hair elastics and a wide tooth comb to create a high sleek ponytail. Use a few drops of hair oil for some added shine to your pony.

Lexi’s New Year’s Eve Heidi Braid

Another sister we find ourselves rooting for is Lexi. Her timeless innocence, yet eagerness to be involved, makes her all that more loveable. Straying from her usual hairstyles which vary from an effortless wave, to a polished bun, Lexi opted for a romantic Heidi braid on New Year’s Eve.

How to get the look: Section your hair into four parts, with two on each side of your head. Start by braiding the back two sections and securing them with clear elastic bands.

Next, style the front two sections into your desired bun, followed by securing the braids around the crown of your head with bobby pins and hiding the ends under one another. Complete the look by curling front face framing pieces, and set with hairspray.

Which of these Euphoria hair looks are your favorite?

If the idea of wearing a wig conjures up thoughts of an older woman who looks like she is wearing a hat with hair on it, you are not alone. Wigs have come a long way over the years, and these styles from Mayvenn will have you trying one the next time you have a bad hair day or just want to create a fresh look. You can have a permanent look (that only your wig stylist knows for sure) or go bold and blonde for one night.

Mayven Wigs have Different Colors

Mayvenn wigs and hair pieces look so natural, and are so lightweight, that you will be tempted to use them more than you think. I was extremely impressed with the human hair wigs and the way you can blend your own hair in the front to create a natural look. I also love that Mayvenn provides a Wigs 101 list to guide you in choosing your wig. I had no idea there was so much to consider, including, cap size, density of the hair, the lace color (which should match your skin tone), length of the hair, and whether the wig is already dyed or virgin so you can color it the shade you want. Mayvenn hair products are 100% pure human hair that comes in different colors.

Blonde Mayven Wigs

An important feature of the lace front and 360 frontal unit wigs from Mayvenn is that they must be customized so that the wig blends into your hairline. You will want to enlist the help of a wig stylist to customize your wig. These days wearing a wig is not just a case of buying it and plopping it on your head if you want the most natural look.

For a more get-up-and-go look, try Mayvenn’s ready to wear human hair wigs, that are adjustable. You will still get a natural look with less fuss.

Mayven High Quality Wigs

If you prefer the baby steps approach to adding hair, Mayvenn has you covered with some amazing hair pieces and extensions to add volume and length, and. you can choose from clip in and tape-in extensions. I prefer the clip in extensions because they feel more secure to me, but the tape in may be fine, depending upon your hair texture. The most important aspects for me are matching my hair color and texture. This may also involve dying the hair pieces to match a specific hair color. I love hair pieces because they are simple to use and can be applied easily without a wig stylist.

Wigs and hair pieces have evolved to accessories that you can use to create a special look or for everyday wear. Don’t be shy to experiment, especially with a quality wig or hairpiece from Mayvenn. They offer a 30-day guarantee and free shipping on all their hair products, so you will not be stuck with a piece you do not like.
